The resort's 76-acre spring-fed lake is reserved for registered guests and is central to warm-weather stays at Mountain Springs Lake Resort.

Mountain Springs Lake Resort is open year-round, but the experience changes with the season. Year-round cabins and adult-only Luxury Suites make it possible to enjoy the property in spring, summer, fall, and winter, while the designated 3-season accommodations operate during the warmer months.
Trout Fishing & Fish to Win
Spring fishing is one of the resort's signature traditions. Trout are stocked on Saturdays in April, including the Golden Trout tied to the Fish to Win Challenge. Fishing poles and live bait are available through the resort, and no Pennsylvania fishing license is required on the private lake.

Is a rowboat included with every accommodation?
Resort accommodations include access to an assigned rowboat during boating season, generally May through October, weather permitting. Resort boating and safety rules apply.
Does the resort have a swimming pool?
No. Mountain Springs Lake Resort does not have a swimming pool. During the warmer months, guests can use designated natural swimming areas at the resort's two private lake beaches. There is no lifeguard on duty.
Do I need a Pennsylvania fishing license at Mountain Springs Lake Resort?
No Pennsylvania fishing license is required on the resort's private lake. Resort fishing rules still apply.
Do all accommodations have full kitchens?
No. The 2- and 3-bedroom cabins have full kitchens. The 3-season accommodations have a kitchen or kitchenette depending on the unit. Adult-only Luxury Suites have a microwave, mini refrigerator, and Nespresso coffee maker rather than a full kitchen.
Do all cabins have dishwashers?
No. All Hemlock cabins and select Lakeview cabins have dishwashers. Check the individual accommodation page or comparison page when a dishwasher is important.
Does every accommodation have a fire pit or charcoal grill?
No. Designated fire pits are available only at select accommodations. Cabins and 3-season accommodations generally include charcoal grills, while the adult-only Luxury Suites do not have charcoal grills or designated fire pits.
Do accommodations have Wi-Fi and television?
Yes. Accommodations have Wi-Fi and Smart TVs. Traditional cable television service is no longer provided.
Are bed linens and bath towels provided?
Yes. Bed linens and bath towels are provided. Guests should bring their own beach towels for lake and beach use.

Yes. Mountain Springs Lake Resort welcomes guests year-round. Spring brings trout fishing and the Fish to Win Challenge; summer offers the broadest lake use with beaches, swimming, rowboats, and outdoor recreation; fall brings foliage, fishing, and the October pumpkin tradition; and winter includes sled rentals for sledding when conditions allow plus convenient access to nearby skiing and winter attractions. The designated 3-season accommodations operate only during the warmer months.
Which Luxury Suites have soaking tubs?
Hill Suites #9, #11, #12, and #15 have air-jet soaking tubs. Cottage Suite #32 has a whirlpool tub with a separate shower. Other Hill Suites feature large rainfall showers without soaking tubs.
